Companion needed for Adult

Job Description:
We are seeking a positive, patient, and enthusiastic mentor to assist a 19 year old adult male in getting out into the community and planning/skill building towards the increased responsibilities of adulthood. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building connections, exploring the community, and helping others thrive in everyday life.

Responsibilities:

Community Engagement:

Accompany and assist with getting out into the community, such as shopping.
Help navigate and use various modes of transportation.
Encourage participation in social and community activities.

Home Support:

Mentor client in planning for skill development and life events.
Help develop culinary skills for meal preparation in a fun and educational way.


Qualifications:

A positive attitude and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
Enthusiasm for helping others and making daily activities enjoyable.
Reliable transportation and punctuality.
A willingness to be flexible with scheduling to meet the client’s needs.
Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

Patient and calm demeanor
Able to mentor a companion in planning and organization.
Good with pets
Valid driver's license and able to drive client around
Non smoker
