Caregiver needed for Teen

Description

We are looking for a caregiver to assist our special needs 16 year old daughter after school. She is non verbal and fully dependent in a wheelchair. She enjoys going on outings to the movies, skating, and bowling. She is a very happy go lucky girl. She likes music of all genres. She is fully dependent in her wheelchair, requires assistance with all mobility, toileting and transfers. I listed some of the job responsibilities. Currently looking for M-F (3:00pm-8:00pm) end time is flexible. are also looking at flexible hour opportunity during weekends, non school days, and during the week as well.
Provides direct care to our daughter with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding (She has a gtube for feeding and medication) training will be provided, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks.
Fosters positive relationships between caretakers and individuals served.
Ensures client safety and maintaining a safe environment.
Assist with administration of medications (with proper training).
Encourages self-help activities.
Reports changes in client’s condition to family.
Documents services provided.
Performs home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning.
Preparing and serving food, feeding and clean-up. (training provided to show all materials and prepping of gtube meals)
Accompanies clients to scheduled appointments and transports clients or running errands for clients. Accompanies clinent and transports client to social/leisure outings (bowling, skating, movies, ect.)
Assists with toileting, including bedpans, urinals, and commode chairs as necessary.
Assist with Lifting and transfers to/from wheelchair and/or other surfaces (bed,chair,floor)
Other duties as assigned.
