I like to start by expressing that I am a quadriplegic male who does not have any movement from the upper chest down to my lower feet. I use a power wheelchair to move around.I also depend on several care givers or personal care attendant including a living aid to help with my daily living to live a independent life

Caregivers or PCA help with tasks such as bathing,dressing, bowel programs. laundry, morning light breakfast afternoon dinner, seating from bed to power wheelchair and from wheelchair back to bed with use of a hoyer lift a device that makes it easier to perform this task

A living Aid is someone who is willing to live with me in a two bedroom Apartment and have
his/her own bedroom with a queen size bed and dresser already in the room.Living Aids task most commonly at night would be to transfer me from power wheelchair to bed and help position me on my side and help position me on opposite side the next morning. Note that I’m not on my power chair every day, just a few days of the week. When not on a chair and in bed just help with positioning.I would like someone who would provide company every night as I sleep and feel that I'm not alone.Living Aid will be paid 14 hours a week 19.50 an hour paid biweekly and rent free.
