Individual Home Support needed for Adult

Description

Looking for a mature female to provide in-home support to my 29 year old daughter who has high-functioning Autism, OCD, Borderline traits, depression and anxiety. She perseverates on health anxieties. She went to art college and is intelligent, yet has mild special needs. She is very quiet, but displays rigid, isolating and perseverative behaviors. You will provide about 1 hour of work per day for 5 of the 7 days, TBD if more time is needed. She does not need physical support except to occasionally help her carry her groceries and garbage bags. The job requires that you do daily ADL prompting at least 5 days a week, and remind her to do the following tasks:

-Reminding to do her own self-care, ADLs, especially showering
-Helping with meal preparation once or twice a week
-Helping her buy groceries and help carry her groceries once a week
-Prompting her to do her own home management and chores
-Reminding to go to her appointments on time
-Encouraging community engagement and program participation
-Fostering healthy communication and relationships with family and caregivers
-Prompting her to take meds

The job requires frequent communication/updating with her parents who are Legal Guardians. She pays a housecleaner, who comes every 2 weeks. DDS staff visit her for about 3 hours a week for coaching.

Applicant must be willing to pass a background check and provide references. The apartment has a designated parking spot that you can use, air conditioning, a new dishwasher, and laundry in the building. It is located in Watertown Square, walking distance to buses, shops and restaurants.
