Owl’s Nest is a new nonprofit residential home that assists adults with disabilities in living the life they aspire to with the dignity and respect they deserve. Our highly skilled team tailors all support and activities to meet the unique needs of residents with a focus on community engagement, social network development, access to outdoor/physical activities and emotional health.

We are currently seeking to fill the following positions in Clinton, CT: Overnight Sleep
Provider, Daytime Personal Support Specialist, and Transportation Assistant within a Clinton based residence. Full-time, part-time, per diem, and all shifts available (1st, 2nd and overnight). Full-time employees will receive paid vacation. We are seeking professionals with a minimum of 5 years of experience in direct care residential support for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Duties
This is a brand-new residential home with one individual who requires 1:1 support due to unsteady gait. Responsibilities will include orienting this person to independent living for the first time and maintaining close proximity to the individual as her gait improves with therapy and exercise. Employees will be expected to support the individual’s interests, provide transportation to medical appointments and work/day program. The home will have landscaping and cleaners regularly. However, light cleaning, laundry assistance, meal planning and shopping may be required. Light assistance with ADLs will also be needed (getting into and out of the shower, getting into the car, going up and down stairs, etc.).
