Supervisor needed for Adult

Description

Seeking an individual to supervise and run a home and day program for a woman in Storrs. The position will include 2 to 3 direct care days per week and/ or 2 -3 days (35 to 40 hours)each week to complete supervisory and administrative duties. The program is both person centered and relationally based support in the mentoring approach.

Duties include:

* Understands and can demonstrate engaging, relational support for individual supported
* Ensures staffing coverage
* review and submit payroll each week to the Fiduciary.
* Create monthly staff schedules
* ensures 24/7 coverage by calling in staff or substitutes or does shift
* Ongoing recruitment efforts to ensure adequate staffing for individual
* designing and directing individualized daily activities each week for individual receiving suppofrt
* Provide training, assistance and supervision of staff that ensures quality care
* Ensures behavioral guidelines implemented and works with behaviorist to ensure positive behavioral approaches
* Ensures individual’s yearly goals and objectives are integrated in daily activities
* Monthly rent subsidy submittal
* Assist in completion of by yearly eligibility paperwork
* Works with nursing oversight to ensure individual receives timely medical/ dental appointments
* Regularly assists with recruiting new employees

Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field :
Psychology, Education , Social work, Special Education,occupational/ physical therapy, behavioral supports
OR
Three years of experience in disability services
