FAMILY LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO BE A REGULAR SUPPORT

We are looking for an energetic and loving person to help our family part-time on a regular basis. We have a 19 year-old daughter on the autism spectrum and a basset hound. Our daughter is fully verbal but lacks social language/skills and needs engagement with a wider group of people beyond just our family. I also travel for work and sometimes need someone to be in the house to help her get to school or get dinner. Similarly, my husband and I sometimes need the ability to go out without her.

The ideal candidate must be honest, fun-loving and reliable but also firm but warm. Some knowledge of autism is highly preferable, but not a must. Strong instincts about how to manage occasional behaviors and a sense of how to creatively engage people on the spectrum will make up for a lot. High quality communication is a must. Ideal would be someone that lives not too far from us in Watertown.

We are flexible with times listed on the profile. Mainly looking for someone that is available regularly and can commit to getting to know our family and being there over time.
