Job Overview:
We are looking for a DSP worker to join our Agency with Choice program. AWC is a person-centered program which allows participants to craft their own customized Day Program. We are seeking an engaging individual who will provide community support, job coaching, and life skills tutoring in the Amherst area for 30 hours per week for a young man with disabilities. If you enjoy exploring the community, art, music, swimming, and exercising, this could be a great opportunity for you to make a difference in the life of a very nice young man who is working to become more independent.
Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old with High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Life or work experience with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, preferably ASD
- Ability to use a computer to enter case notes; communicate by email, video conferencing, etc.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Be able to handle emergency situations
- Have certification in CPR/First Aid or ability to be certified
- Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, availability of private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance
- CORI, SORI, DPPC and National Fingerprint Check
