A rewarding job is available for you in Arizona

If you are looking for a career that provides you with the opportunity to meet new people, develop mutually rewarding relationships, and help people lead more independent lives, then being a Respite Worker or Direct Care Worker (DCW) may be right for you.

Many elders and people with disabilities of all ages in Arizona need assistance with their personal care needs and other daily activities. Families who need some time off may need to hire a respite worker. They need to hire a respite worker or DCW to come into their home to assist them.

You probably have what it takes to be a respite worker or DCW if you:

  • Have patience and common sense
  • Are open-minded and flexible
  • Feel that all individuals are entitled to support, respect, and a good quality of life
  • Want to do work that is personally enriching and rewarding

If you are interested in this kind of work, please click here to complete an application.

We have jobs throughout Arizona available for you!

The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), the Department of Economic Security (DES), and Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) require that Direct Care Workers complete DCW training if they work for an Arizona agency that is a registered provider for these state agencies.

This is not required for self-employed/self-directed DCWs, but it is valuable training and may make you more employable. For more information visit AZ Directcare.org

If you have questions, call AZ Caregiver Resources at toll-free 1-888-737-7494 or email CRL@AZCaregivers.net
